Dog versus Cats: The Eternal Struggle

Final Shot: Animal House
The fight finishes up and the housepets find their query

With the fight finishing off once Tom was put down the rest turn and ran. After some creative thinking they got the door open and the vault to the nuts was opened. With the park food resupplied the two housepets were pointed in the direction of the humans they were looking for.

With Surly, a few other squirrels, Buddy, a pair of rabbits, and two robins the house pets had some assistance from the park. Most were unsure about this idea the dog had to make his master’s killers, ‘dead’. Scouting out the place Surly and most of the group made a slingshot mounted on a roof across the street to fire while Bandit and the bunnies lay in wait. After a few shots at the front door the idea of taking out a window came up getting three people coming out. the slingshot brigade took out of the three that came out with Bandit lunging at Tastybut. A snarling snap was all he got before out as Tasybut got out of the way and shot Bandit at point blank range dropping him to the ground. Adeline jumping down from across the street and made a beeline into the front yard to her stupid charge, Bandit.

Seeing the what looked like a dead Bandit jump up on all four and charge the guy again surprised the man and Adeline, Bandit never was very smart. Adeline jumped to the man’s head while he was distracted by bandit ripping out his eye causing him to pass out. Bandit stopped and went straight for his throat tearing it out.

Moving into the house first with the taste of blood on his lips Bandit let out a yelp as he took a shotgun blast that sent him flying off the porch and into the front yard. Adeline sat in shock as a wounded Bandit got back up a few second later, a tattered mess that looked more like meat than dog and hobbled back towards the front door. Seeing him heal up to normal before he moved back up to the door gave Adeline time to jump in through a broken window and sneak around the guy with the shotgun racing upstairs to where the other two are. The two bunnies ran into the house to which Bandit heard another blast and weak squeaks. Running in again got him blasted out of the house again and back to a state of meat on the lawn. Meanwhile Adeline had managed to sneak up the stairs and rip out another man’s eye and pushed him down the stairs while he was in pain. She saw the original one eye and stalked her prey.

Most would think him crazy for locking himself in a room, barricading a door, and brandishing a gun at the doorway. Granted he didn’t know who was attacking and he had one of his eyes ripped out by a cat… he wasn’t having the best of weeks. Hearing a pressure on his shoulder and head followed by a hiss before he went totally blind wasn’t what he was expecting. Adeline dodged getting shot by a shotgun and snuck up him later as he emptied rounds into Bandit’s body before she ripped his eye out. Sitting down next to what she considered a dead Bandit she was surprised when he flopped up and asked, ‘if they got ’em’. She let him know they had (Actually she had done all the work really) watched his mangled body heal up before he went into the house again and came back with two pieces of fluffy white covered meat.

Surly let the two know they had to move since the cops were coming and they could sort out the humans. Bandit brought back what he found of the two rabbits to the park to bury. They spent a bit of time among the park creatures with Surly telling stories of how he killed humans that had messed with his minions. Eventually Bandit and Adeline were offered a home by another elderly couple. There were warm places for naps and bacon at times… but that’s a different story.

End of campaign.

Shot 3: Alleys and Cat Scratch Fever
A dog, a Cat, and a rat walk into an alleyway.

The request seemed simple to Bandit, get into the house with the nuts so that the park that was out of food since someone stole it from the park maintenance shed would have food for the coming winter. His feline companion and smarter half picked up on that Surly was kicked out of the park for managing to lose or letting the food supply get destroyed, it wasn’t clear but he had to find food if he wanted back into the park. The problem was his plan mostly involved a solution, everything else was up to the two house pets. Bandit didn’t see a problem since he thought Adeline was smart enough to open any door. The four of them looking at the house with nuts got Bandit asking if they didn’t have any bacon since that obviously was something animals in the park would want to eat. He explained they didn’t have bacon and Surly’s sidekick rat, Buddy. Opted to whisper he didn’t think he was very bright. Bandit leaned in as well thinking he meant the squirrel wasn’t very bright (he wasn’t aware the rate thought he was talking to Surly) either since he didn’t think they should get bacon.

With the humans and their dog leaving the house the group opted to try a side door entrance. A rather large cat and his friends stopped the group after they crossed the street sans Surly, who was going across by power line. What was requested was to be left alone to do what they needed to, what happened was a five on two fight with two cats peeing themselves one having a piece of his tail permanently bent by the rat biting into it and a squirrel flying by rope with a table knife to save the day only to slam head first into a brick wall which stopped combat for a few seconds as everyone winced.

Shot 2: My Master's Vengence

The pets’ masters go out for an evening, Bandit & Adeline stay home, with Bandit in charge he patrols the house after eating all his and Adeline’s food.

After finding people in Master’s room Bandit tells them to stop messing with Master’s stuff, to them it sounded like barking. One of them tried to calm him down and they both stopped to which Bandit sat on his rear haunches and wagged his tail since the guy said he was Master’s friend. When the other one came towards Bandit with a stick too big to play fetch with Bandit snarled and warned him to back off by taking a chunk out of his rear.

After ‘going blind’ and telling Adeline (from the unwounded robbers thinking by throwing a blanket over the dog’s head, Bandit took off in direction since he had gone blind and was pretty sure he wasn’t part Dalmatian. Adeline opted to attack the unwounded man since he was fumbling with the bat and looking at the confused ‘Blind’ dog. Jumping on his head and stratching his face followed up by jumping on his head and pulling out one of his eyes surprised both the cat and the man.

After getting out of the house Bandit barked at them since he realized once he got out from under the blanket he wasn’t blind but he was faced with his arch nemesis a closed door. The master and his mate eventually came home. Police were called, and Bandit explained what happened. A hand print was taken and there was a human eye for ‘evidence’. After being rattled and filling out the report though the couple was tired and the cops left. Bandit insisted on speaking to a K-9 Cop but they didn’t seem to want to listen. Maybe they were jealous.

The call of nature had Bandit letting the master know and putting him out with Adeline for the morning in the early hours. With Adeline letting Bandit know people were back at the house Bandit wondered what they wanted until a scuffle of some kind could be heard and loud doors slamming (gunshots). Barking at the back door Bandit let his master know he was still out back and things were happening and he was hearing weird noises. He heard the back door open and he charged the backdoor. Seeing it wasn’t master he dove at them to attack. With the door closed in his face Bandit clawed at the door, Adeline figured out how to open the door and Bandit bolted in. Finding his master dead was an eye opener same for Adeline with his mate.

Having the police show up got Bandit covering his master’s body until they put him out back. With Adeline quickly put outside afterwards Bandit made the executive decision One eye and Tasty Butt the two robbers needed to die. Moving down the alley Bandit found a squirrel that saw the two and would be able to help. But to get help they’d need to give some help.

Shot 1: Bacon and Stairs
How Bandit meet Adeline and his Master

Bandit is bought and learns about many things, what his new master’s home spells like, almost what a cat’s (Adeline’s) butt spells like to say hello, and the harsh reality of stair climbing as a puppy plus the inability to climb leading to running into them face first (repeatedly since Bandit isn’t the smartest of dogs) and what bacon is (or at least what it smells like and that Bandit wants some although all he can handle is milk.).
